"Our hosts met us on arrival - they live right next door! They are lovely and friendly and there if you need them. The property is located about 400m (I'm guessing) from the centre of things in Amboise - everything you could want is just a stroll away, And when you want to head out and explore - the road out either north or south is right there on your doorstep (but its not at all noisy - I just mean its convenient!) And you won't believe the vista from the beautiful gardens - you literally look across to the Chateau about 400m away! What a view!"

"There is absolutely nothing that could have been better! We loved it here. We've stayed at many 'gites' over the years with our children so we have lots to compare but this is not a gite as we know it - its a classy upmarket holiday home with authentic French decor and hostess Monique clearly loves making guests feel welcome with her thoughtful touches in decor and provisions."

"Our favourite place we have stayed. Beautiful property. Clean and spacious. Decorated beautifully. Great outdoor space to relax. Spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were prefect for a family. Quick and easy walk to centre and chateau. On site parking also a plus. PJ and Monique were friendly and welcoming hosts. Will recommend this stay to our family and friends."

"This location was perfect for exploring Amboise, very easy walking distance to the centre and the main attractions, with lovely cycle routes too. The local bakers, butchers and grocery shops are excellent. There is an amazing Sunday morning market that is worth visiting, we purchased a lot of our supplies here. The local Carrefour was small but well stocked. Amboise is a fascinating and beautiful town. Clos Luce was a particular highlight. The property is spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped. We were there during the heat wave so the air con was a blessing. The garden space is lovely for an evening meal or a quiet read. Monique and Pierre Jean were lovely hosts and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here."

"This house was perfect for our family of 5 to explore the Loire Valley and enjoy all the comforts of a modern home. The house is beautifully decorated, modern, spacious, and well-stocked. The hosts are so thoughtful and kind, and they went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. Private parking for our car and rented bikes was especially appreciated, and the backyard was a lovely place to enjoy a snack and a stunning view of the castle. We were easily able to walk around all of Amboise and also rent bikes to cycle to various chateaux in the Loire Valley. I would stay in this home again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to anyone I know planning a trip to the area! Thank you for a fabulous stay!"

"WOW! There are not enough words to describe how amazing this property was. Amboise is such a cute town in the Loire Valley and this hotel was centrally located while still secluded. The view of the castle was STUNNING. Monique and Jean-Pierre could not have been friendlier or more accommodating and Monique even hand-made my mom and I bags to take home. The house was very clean, spacious, and well stocked with amenities. Everything was a 10/10 and if you find yourself lucky enough to find this property available do yourself a favor and book it!!!"
